Haller Lake Master Bath Remodel
In the mid-seventies, this bathroom design was featured in the Living section in the Seattle Times. With its stylish sunken tub and mosaic tile, it was truly contemporary in its day. The current owner, the daughter of the designer, wanted to stay true to the original design but update the finishes. The existing tub, shower and carpet were removed and resurfaced while keeping the original vanities and doors. Honed black vanity tops and undermount sinks dressed up the two vanities and a soaker tub updated the worn Jacuzzi. Aluminum sliding pocket doors separate the tub/dressing area from the shower and the vanities. The resulting update is a new take on an old success.
